“Selfies24” is part of a project which gathers fragments of a one day experience. It transposes the recurrence of ‘footies’ on social media into a thorough pursuit of the body’s appearances. Each fragment is based on photographs taken precisely every hour for an entire day. One photo is taken while walking on a pavement in an old castle, another while sitting behind the wheel, one in the elevator going to work, five during sleeping breaks etc. The work strives to bring to the audience the instashot/ instalife movement by which we are currently recording our life through social media means.
